KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION CEREMONY (30.03.2023) Graduation Ceremony was held on 30 march 2023 at the Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry. On this day , a special function was organised by the school . The parents and grandparents were the guests of the D-day . Two guests of honour were invited from the parents community, Mrs.Jothsana Home Maker and DR.Ramya MD(General Medicine) , they both appreciated and apprised the students for their wonderful performance and speeches delivered by the little ones without any hesitation and for the significance of the day. Vice principal addressed the gathering with a quote “From tiny seeds ,grows mighty trees”, and she congratulated the students for all the hard work and persistence throughout this year, and wished them more success and happy learning as they graduate from kindergarten and move on to higher grades and flourish in the campus of Maharishi Vidya Mandir. Puducherry. The dignitaries awarded promotion certificates and medals to the students . The little ones made this event special by performing for their parents , teachers and grandparents . By celebrating this day for young students the only message given to all students by Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry is - " You’ve worked hard to achieve your goals and now you’re on your way to seek new vistas, dream new dreams, embark on who you are, embrace life with passion and keep reaching for your star. Go for it! " .
Project Day (27.02.2023) On 27th February 2023, Maharishi Vidya Mandir , Pondicherry organised a science exhibition in the school. Students from all the classes (K-9) participated in the exhibition. The science exhibition was held in honour of National Science Day which is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. The chief guest for this exhibition was Dr.Arun Nagalingam, scientist, State Coordinator, Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, Vigyan Prasar, New Delhi. The exhibition started at 9.30 a.m. and was open to all the parents and students of the school till 12.30 p.m. As the exhibition started, students presented their projects of working and non-working models of various concepts, for example solar system, solar power energy, space satellites, hydroelectric generators, AC and DC motors, automatic transformers, and robots were built by the students and many other exhibits were presented by the students. Models related to space satellites, different satellites of the planets, the various galaxies and many more things were on display. Dr.Arun Nagalingam, along with the Principal and the Vice Principal, went around looking at the different models designed by the students and assessed the descriptions given by the students. The parents, too, looked at the various models put up by the students. all the students were well appreciated by our chief guest and parents.
Annual Sports Meet (28.01.2022) The 1st Annual Sports Meet was held on 28th January 2023. Mr. K Lingam, Principal Sub Judge was the Chief Guest and he declared the Meet open. The students of Maharishi Vidya Mandir showcased their skills with the school parade. The school sports captain lighted the Olympic torch. The house captains took the sports oath which is to participate in the meet respecting the rules and regulations that govern it with the desire of participating in the true spirit of sportsmanship for the honour of the school and glory of sports. A few track events of the students of grades LKG to I were conducted to mark the occasion. The students of other classes displayed their physical skill by way of performing Loco Circuit drill, Pom Pom, Hoops Parachute and dumbbells drills. The performance of silambam was an additional attraction. Later prizes were distributed to the winners of various sports events. The programme came to a close by singing of National Anthem. It was a memorable event to everyone.

Christmas Celebration (23.12.2022) As we all know that Our India is a land of “Unity in Diversity”, Here, We the team of MVM feel glad to celebrate Christmas with lots of Love and Warmth. Our children from grade I to VIII participated in the Christmas Celebration enthusiastically!! We feel elated to share snaps of our Celebration with you all. “Best wishes for a joyous Merry Christmas filled with Love, Happiness, Prosperity and Goodness”.
Red Day & Christmas Celebration - KG (23.12.2022) Christmas is for joy, for giving and sharing, for laughter, for coming together with family and friends. It was surely a Christmas to remember at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry which was celebrated along with Red Day on 23rd December, 2022. We celebrated Christmas in a grand manner. The celebration began with prayer song followed by welcome speech by Sriram of LKG and Speech about Christmas by Thejasri of UKG. Our UKG kids gave a mind blowing singing performance. The Birth of Jesus Christ was beautifully enacted by KG kids. Our tiny tots gave a rocking dance performance which was enjoyed by all the children. Our respected Vice Principal Ms. Ethel Nina Joys gave a speech about Christmas.
Farmers Day Celebration (17.12.2022) Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry, celebrated National Farmers’ Day (KISAN DIWAS) on16th December 2022. The day marks the birth anniversary of the Farmer Leader and the former Prime Minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh.This day is dedicated to all the farmers of India to increase their enthusiasm and also to generate respect for them among the citizens of the country.The celebrations aim was to create awareness among the children on the importance of farmers and farming for a healthy and prosperous nation. On this day, our kids of Pre - KG & LKG created an eye-catching tractor made of ice-cream sticks jiand buttons. They did this activity with engrossment. Foot print activity was done by the tiny tots of UKG. They made an adorable tractor using their own foot print. This activity helps the children develop fine motor skills.
Flag Day Celebration (07.12.2022) On the commemoration of Flag day on 7.12.2022 our beloved children of Grade I to IX have participated in various activities like palm printing, Craft making with pulses and cereals and Poem writing to honour the jawans who gave their lives for our country. We feel extremely happy to share the pictures.
Grand Parent's Day Celebration (26.11.2022) MVM Pondy commemorated Grandparents day to celebrate the bond that exists between grandparents and their grandchildren. Our enthusiastic grandparents of Kindergarten kids participated in the celebration. The celebration started with Lighting the lamp and a prayer Song. Our little tots of KG presented speeches and performed a dance. In continuation, the Paadha Pooja ceremony also took place to show their love and respect for their grandparents. The purpose of this celebration is to inculcate the value of expressing gratitude in young minds for shaping and moulding them.
Children's Day Celebration (14.11.2022) We, the team of MVM Pondy feel glad to share that we have enthusiastically celebrated Children's day in our school. Our teachers have presented skit, danced, recited poem, sung songs and spoke on the occasion to make our children feel that they are cared, they are loved and they are wanted. All our children have enjoyed the programme to the core. Being around children heals the heart. Happy Children's Day!!
Student Medical Camp (18.10.2022) Take care of your mind, Your Body will thank you. Take care of your body, your mind will thank you!! In note of the above quote, we, the team of MVM Pondy in association with Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry organized an Annual Medical Camp for all the students from Pre-Kg to Grade IX on 19.10.2022(Wednesday) and 20.10.2022(Thursday) in our school premises by inviting the specialists in the field of Pediatrician, Dermatology, ENT and Ophthalmology. A health checkup up of all our students was done by the doctors on the day. In addition to it, Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute team presented privilege cards to the teaching and non-teaching staff. The team further described the advantages of using cards to get treated in SLIMS Hospital for various ailments. The principal appreciated the team of doctors, and para medical staff for their involvement in making the event a success. He also thanked the management of SLNIMS for its gesture for coming forward to issue Health card to MVM staff.
World Food Day and Yellow day (14.10.22) “Shades of yellow stimulate our little ones with happiness, energy, and optimism.” With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of the yellow colour, Yellow Day was celebrated by the cubs of KG on Friday 14th October 2022 in Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry. A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Day”!
Grey Day celebration (KG) - 09.09.2022 GREY, the elegant colour signifies neutrality and balance between the opposites (White & Black). The kids of LKG & UKG celebrated Grey Colour Day on 9th September, 2022 in Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry, to get the children acquainted with the different shades of Grey. Ice-cream stick activity was done by the LKG kids with zest. They pasted the googly eyes in this activity. This activity promotes fine motor skill and also teach kids about the art of recycling materials. They did the activity with eagerness. Paper cup Activity was done by the UKG kids. They colourfully painted the paper cups and pasted the face in this activity which gave lively look to the craft. This activity develop the child’s imagination and creative thinking. In addition, it develops children’s ability to concentrate, pay attention, accuracy and patience. To make this day special, the little ones beautifully dressed in attires of distinct shades of grey and enjoyed the rhymes and Craft activities related to the colour.
Onam Celebration - 08.09.2022 “Happiness is nourishing and cherishing every little moment” In order to nourish and cherish the secular festivals of India, we Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Pondy celebrated Onam festival in our school premises on 08.09.2022, Thursday. As invocation of God comes first, the celebration began with a prayer song. Further, students of Grade VII made us understand the history, cultural events, traditional games and lunch meal (Sadhya) of Onam festival through their delighting speech, melodious song and graceful dance. We are glad to share few snaps of our Onam celebration with you.
Teacher’s Day Celebration - 05.09.2022 “The influence of teacher extends beyond the classroom, well into the future” says a well-known writer F. Sionil Jose. Yes, teaching is a profession which makes and moulds an individual into a better professional. In order to celebrate and honour such great people, the students and management of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Pondy celebrated teachers day on 05.09.2022, Monday. The celebration took place at our school Auditorium wherein students of Grade IX expressed their sincere gratitude and love to their teachers through their dance, song and skit performances. Further, management has also arranged stress- bursting fun games to make teachers enjoy, laugh and make merry. Really it was a beautiful memory for teachers to cherish forever. The management also encouraged and appreciated the teachers further by providing them a valuable gift which made the day more memorable.
Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration - 30.08.2022 We the team of MVM Pondy feels delighted to share that we have celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in our school premises to bring awareness among the children about our traditional customs. Our school students from grade IV to VIII have participated enthusiastically and expressed their talents through song, Dance, Speech and skit. Also we have conducted various competitions from LKG to grade IX to manifest our student talents. May Ganesha always stay as your mentor, protector and remove all obstacles from your life. We wish you and your family a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!
Ponlait Milk Factory Field Trip - 19.08.2022 MVM Pondy feels glad to share that our school students from grade VII to IX have gone to Pondicherry Cooperative Milk Fctory. One of the staff of the Pondicherry Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd has explained the various steps of milk processing. First they check the quality of the milk collected from different dairy farms. At Ponlait, nearly 100000 Litres of milk is processed. Ponlait is distributing milk to all over South India. Pasteurisation is done at 72 degree Celsius for 15 seconds. Three different packages are used to pack the milk based on the fat content. Ponlait is preparing icecream for the famous Amul company. In the processing hall, advanced packing system and electric tech house can be seen. The students observed the packing systems and they also visited the lab where the quality of the milk is tested. All our students have enjoyed the whole trip and listened to the process of Milk production.
Janmashtami Celebration - 18.08.2022 Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna. Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great dazzle and euphoria by the tiny-tots of LKG at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry on 18th August, 2022. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations filling the air with joy and festive spirit. The event is based on the legend of the Krishna stealing butter and other milk products as a baby. This holy occasion brings people together, thus signifying unity and faith.
Indepependence Day Celebration - 15.08.2022 “Thousands laid down their lives so that our country is breathing this day.”
In keeping with the aforementioned quotation, Maharishi Vidya Mandir-Puducherry is proud to celebrate on August 15, 2022, country's 75th celebration on the premises of our school. Smt.N. Vatachala, As the guest speaker, the headmistress of the government middle school was invited. A prayer hymn opened the event. The flag was raised by Smt. D.Prema, our honourable CEO. In his lecture, our esteemed principal, Mr. Madhusudan, discussed the value of freedom, the proper use of freedom, and the sacrifices made by our freedom warriors, who are ultimately responsible for our freedom. Smt. N. Vatachala, our guest speaker then addressed the group. Our children performed a cultural event to display their talents. The national anthem brought the Independence Day programme to a conclusion.
International Friendship Day - 07.08.2022 (Class LKG - UKG) *“True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost.”* On 7th August International Friendship Day is celebrated all over the world. To mark this day, Kindergarten celebrated Friendship Day as well as Purple day on 5th August, 2022 in Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry. The teachers talked about importance of friends in life. They discussed the value of “sharing is caring. Origami Ring Making Activity was done by the LKG children. They drew cat face in this activity. Our little champs of UKG made a beautiful Friendship Band Activity. They pasted star stickers in this activity and tied their friendship band to their friends. They also inserted the woolen thread in the punched whole in the making of this gorgeous friendship band. These activities help children develop good finger grip. They provide the opportunities in developing those fine motor muscles in their hands, fingers, and wrist.
Field Trip to Botanical Garden - 30.07.2022 (Class I - II) "Our school students of Grade I & II spent an action packed day out in the open, amidst different kind of flora at the Botanical Garden, Puducherry. The garden offers education along with recreation. It has a diverse range of flowering plants and trees, along with their botanical information. The trees are a mix of indigenous and rare species. And the flowers add a pop of colour to the place. All these, together, add an array of aromas and beauty to the garden. The students enjoyed a lot in the park for kids with their friends. The kids’ corner has different rides and slides for kids to play. They also went for a ride in the toy train and it thrilled the kids. The ride took them around the garden giving them a great view of the place.
Tiger’s day/ Conservation day celebration- 29-07-2022 The students of grades III and IV were taken on a field tiger to Planetarium. The students learnt about the formation of the universe, solar system, planets, etc. They were thrilled to have an experience of travelling in space through stimulation effects. Apart from these, they observed the science models kept in Planetarium and watched a 3-D show on aquatic life. They saw a few models on topics related to physics subject. They had a nice learning experience on the whole.

Kamaraj Birthday Celebration - 2022 We, the team of MVM Pondy feels glad to share that we have celebrated the Birthday of our former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu and the KING MAKER Mr. Kamarajar with great reverence. The students of Grade VI performed various programmes such as Skit, Speech, Dance, Song and Quiz commemorating the ideals of Kamarajar.
Vanmahotsav Day Celebration - 2022 >Save the trees! Save the Earth! We are the guardians of Mother Earth! I MVM Pondy feels glad to share that we celebrated Van Mahotsav Day on our school campus to motivate our students to know the need and importance of trees. All the children of grade 5 enthusiastically participated in Song, Dance, Skit, and Speech events and made the event a grand success.
Doctor's Day Celebration (KG) - 2022 “Medicines cure diseases, but only doctors can cure patients”. Our little buds and blossoms of LKG and UKG expressed their gratitude towards doctors for their selfless service especially during the pandemic on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day which was observed on 1st July 2022, in Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry. They paid their respects by saluting and clapping for them. First Aid Kit making activity was done by the curious little minds of LKG kids. They painted the Red Cross using ear buds in this activity. This activity promotes fine motor skill and pincer grip development, concentration and focus amongst children. They did the activity with gratefulness. Our little champs of UKG made stethoscope out of straw and water bottle caps which really fascinated them. They pasted the bottle caps in the stethoscope in this activity. This activity develop fine motor skills and strengthens hands muscles and pincer grip.
Blue Day Celebration (KG) - 2022 LKG:“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up”. Peacock-making Craft Activity and Blue whale card-making Activities were conducted for our little buds of LKG – A & B on 24th June 2022, to develop fine motor skills and enhance hand-eye coordination. Our little buds coloured the nose of the peacock and pasted the body of the peacock in the peacock activity and pasted the blue whale and its eye in the blue whale activity. These activities enhance children's hand-eye coordination and build levels of manual dexterity. They enjoyed the activities and participated with full enthusiasm.
UKG: “You do not just wake up and become the butterfly. Growth is a process.” Our little champs of UKG A, B, & C, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, made wonderful paper butterflies and fishes on 24th June 2022. They were curious to fold the papers to make beautiful butterflies and fish. This activity is a multi-sensory, hands-on activity that helps in developing their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and mental concentration.
Teacher Trainning Programe MVM - Chennai - 2022 "If your actions inspire children to dream more than Learn more, Do more and Become more". Following the sentiment expressed in this quote and to learn more teachers of MVM Pondy attended the First Half Yearly Training programme conducted by Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chetpet for 3 days. It was indeed a great learning experience for our teachers which would help them to understand and impart education to the next-gen through MVM action plans. Shri Dr. T C Perumal ji, secretary, MVM Group of Schools and his TM trainers helped our teachers learn to practice Transcendental Meditation. Dr. B.S.Virudhagirinathan dealt on Early childhood care and education for holistic development to take care of wellbeing of child and make him/her become life long learner Mrs Premalatha, CEO and her team provided insight on teaching methodology, CBSE norms and general school administration procedures to be followed in school. Later, subject wise orientation was given to our teachers by subject experts of MVM Chetpet and our teachers took demonstration classes and shared feedback among themselves to enhance their interactive skills in the classroom situation.
Talent Show - 2022 "Talent hits a target no one else can hit." As said in the quote, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Pondicherry students from grades I to IX have showcased their talents by Singing, Dancing, Giving speeches, Reciting poems, etc., on the stage in front of all to overcome the stage fear and also to build their self-confidence.
Tamil New Year Celebration - 2022 “We, the team of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Puducherry feel glad to share that we have celebrated Tamil new year with lots of joy and happiness. Our school students from grade IV to IX have wonderfully performed Skit, Dance, Speech, Song etc.., to showcase their talents. It had been a great treat to our eyes. We wish you all a very happy and prosperous Tamil New year.
