Project Day (27.02.2023)
On 27th February 2023, Maharishi Vidya Mandir , Pondicherry organised a science exhibition in the school. Students from all the classes (K-9) participated in the exhibition. The science exhibition was held in honour of National Science Day which is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928.
The chief guest for this exhibition was Dr.Arun Nagalingam, scientist, State Coordinator, Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, Vigyan Prasar, New Delhi. The exhibition started at 9.30 a.m. and was open to all the parents and students of the school till 12.30 p.m.
As the exhibition started, students presented their projects of working and non-working models of various concepts, for example solar system, solar power energy, space satellites, hydroelectric generators, AC and DC motors, automatic transformers, and robots were built by the students and many other exhibits were presented by the students. Models related to space satellites, different satellites of the planets, the various galaxies and many more things were on display.
Dr.Arun Nagalingam, along with the Principal and the Vice Principal, went around looking at the different models designed by the students and assessed the descriptions given by the students. The parents, too, looked at the various models put up by the students. all the students were well appreciated by our chief guest and parents.
