Graduation Ceremoney & Fancy Dress Day - 2022 “It’s time to celebrate all the hard work that has led to this joyful occasion” In a note of the above quote, Maharishi Vidya mandir- Puducherry feels glad to share that we celebrated “ Graduation Day” for the little champions of U.K.G kids on 24th March 2022. Mrs. Rajini and Mrs. Jagatheeshwari were invited as Chief Guests. The function commenced by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Our L.K.G kids showcased their talent in the fancy-dress show. Our honourable principal Mr. Madhusudan delivered a speech and appreciated the efforts of the parents to dress up their kids to participate in the fancy-dress show and also appreciated teachers making the graduation day a successful and memorable day. Our chief guests addressed the gathering and also appreciated the school for organising such a memorable day for the kids and their parents. It was a blissful moment to see the kids receiving their certificates of graduation by wearing individual caps and gowns and especially with their divine smile
Botanical Garden Field Trip - 2022 Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better”. In a note of the above quote, our MVM school students from grades I - III went to visit the Botanical Garden today (19.03.2022) and enjoyed seeing the colourful flowers in the floral garden, admired by the musical fountain, flower show, and also our students got excited to see the different kinds of fishes in the aquarium. Also, they relished a toy train ride, etc…
KG Activity Women's Day Celebration - 2022 As believed by the saying “Better late than never”, we, the KG team of MVM Pondy, celebrated women’s day on 15th March with our little buds and presented memorable photo frames to their mothers. Celebrating International Women’s Day with little kids is a wonderful opportunity to make them show their respect, love, and appreciation to their mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and other women in their life from an early age. The Tiny tots of our school enjoyed pasting the flowers to decorate their photo frames which were prepared by our MVM teachers.
Digital Parenting & Importance of New Education Policy - (NEP-2020) Maharishi Vidya Mandir- Puducherry feels glad to share that we have organized an orientation programme for the parents on Digital Parenting and National Education Policy on 12th March in association with Extra marks. This event was organized to make parents, educators and students understand more about the present education scenario. Mrs. Prema, CEO of the institution lighted the lamp and commenced the function. A well-known motivational speaker and News 7 Channel Anchor Mr. Vijayan spoke on the role of parents in regulating children's activities in a digital environment and facilitating the interaction between them and digital media. He clearly outlined the pros and cons of digital content presented to the students through the learning apps. On this occasion Mrs. Nandhini, from Extra mark explained about the various digital learning content available in the Extra mark’s app, how to access them and make use of the content in an effective way. The school Principal Mr.Madhusudan said that the need of the hour is to teach the students to get adopted to the change.
Women's Day Celebration - 2022 “Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women, who have her back.” We, the team of MVM Pondy feel glad to share that we have celebrated 47th International Women’s Day on our school campus with a lot of enthusiasm and gratification. The students of grades V and VIII have spoken on the occasion sharing the importance of the day and the need for such celebration. The students of classes VI, VII, and VIII sang a song glorifying the women’s contributions to society and entertained the audience with an enthralling dance performance. In addition, to that, we have organized a fascinating quiz competition on Women's achievement.
Eye Camp - 2022 “The Eye is the jewel of the body”. “The availability of good medical care tends to vary inversely with the need for it in the Population served”. In a note of the above, Maharishi Vidya Mandir- Pondicherry arranged a Free Eye Camp for its students on 04.03.2022. A team of Doctors and Caregivers from Aravind Eye Hospital thoroughly examined the students of grades I to VIII and made a few recommendations to the students who needed further screening and testing.
National Science Day - 2022 MVM Pondy feels glad to share that we have celebrated Science Day on our school campus. Our school children from grade III to VIII have enthusiastically participated and showcased their talents through performing various experiments and displaying working and static models. Mr. Jayasundhar. V – National Best Teacher awardee 2021 and National awardee for innovative teaching practices 2019 has patiently listened to each student and his/her presentation. Later he has also demonstrated experiments to explain the various science concepts to be learned at middle school levels. He has encouraged and appreciated the students' efforts.
Science Exhibition Field Trip - 2022 “The good thing about science is that it’s true whether or not you believe in it”. In a note of the above quote, our school students from grade V to VIII went to visit Planetarium to view Science Exhibits exhibited to promote interest in science and technology among the younger generation. All our children have learned about the Solar system, the Life cycle of the mosquito, Electric circuits, Global warming, PCR test, etc.,.
Soft Skill Development Programme - 2022 Happy to share that Life Skill Coach, Mr. Pugazhendhi has had an interactive session with the students. Our students enjoyed the entire session. It was based on soft skills referring to both interpersonal skills and character traits that elucidate how a person can work and interact with others.
Medical Camp - 2021 “It is Health a real wealth and not the pieces of Gold and Silver.” The availability of good medical care tends to vary inversely with the need for it in the Population served. In a note of the above quote, Our MVM Pondy arranged a Free Medical Camp for its students. A team of Doctors and Caregivers from Arupadai Veedu Medical college and hospital from various branches like pediatrics, ENT, Dentist, Dermatologist and Ophthalmologists thoroughly examined the students of grade I to VIII and made a few recommendations to the students to improve their lives and keep their body and mind healthy.
Christmas Celebration - 2021 As we all know that our India is a land of “Unity in Diversity”, Here, We the team of MVM feel glad to celebrate Christmas with lots of Love and Warmth. Our children from grade 1 to 8 participated in the Christmas Celebration enthusiastically!! We feel elated to share snaps of our Celebration with you all. “Best wishes for a joyous Merry Christmas filled with Love, Happiness, Prosperity and Goodness”
Independence Day Celebration - 2021 MVM Pondy celebrated 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2021. Mrs. D.Prema, C.E.O of the school hoisted the National flag. The teachers and Principal spoke about the importance of the day during the celebration. The principal said that we have to believe that 21st Century belonged to India.
Paper Fan Activity Children of Grade 1 & 2 enjoyed making fan using paper as the primary artistic medium for creating of two or three dimensional objects. Making paper fans in various colours and sizes was a lot of fun for the kids. They folded the papers themselves and decorated it with lines, hearts and doodles.
Pongal Celebration Pongal" is not a random celebration, rather an emotion of Tamilians who exhibit their gratitude to the exquisite Mother Nature. To embody this and to show our indebtedness to the Great Mother, our team enshrined Pongal festival in the natural ambience of our school premises.
Republic Day Celebration 2021 The students took pride in celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood on this day.With the help from teachers our students practiced MIME, Dance, Song, Mass drill, etc. and got ready for the celebration. Due to the Government advisory we could not make the students attend the celebration. The staff members celebrated the day by hoisting the national flag.
Staff Pot Lunch Our team celebrated Food Sharing Day among staffs of MVM. We enjoyed everyone's signature dishes on December 30, 2020.
Science Day Activity 2021 Experiments provide insight into cause-and-effect by demonstrating the outcome, when a particular factor is manipulated. Science experiments promote discovery and learning. Discovering new idea is an integral part of learning science. They enjoy the session and participate enthusiastically.
Crown making Activity 2021 Learning the crafts not only fosters creative development of a child, but also assists in advancing and refining his or her core skills, which in fact goes towards boosting academic achievement as well. As such, the development of these functions are vital for all activities undertaken by a child. With the assistance of our art teacher, our students did a few craft activities and relished the session.
Gardening Activity 2021 Gardening's goal is to promote gardening awareness and enjoyment while taking efforts to also protect the environment's quality through education. Our team devised ways for children to learn and develop gardening, tapping into their natural curiosity and wonder.
